Packed with goodness and tastes marvelous.
Fresh out of the beadmaker or a week later – bread that keeps well and tastes well.

Patience required: **
Ingredients for 2lb size bread
- Water – Lukewarm to cold – 1.5 cup
- Skimmed milk powder – 4 tbsp
- Sunflower oil – 4 tbsp
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Salt – 2,5 tsp
- Strong white bread flour – 4 cups
- Fast action yeast – 1.5 tsp
- Nettle seeds – 1,5 cup
To do
- 1) Harvest nettle seeds from female nettles ( they are those loaded with seeds hanging down)
- 2) Extract the seeds but putting in colander with bowl underneath and manually rotate around the colander to make the seeds fall through but stems stay. Protect your hand with glove or kitchen paper.
- 3) Place all the above ingredient in the bread-maker in order as listed.
- 4) Select basic whicte bread programme and press start
- 5) Wait until it gets done
- 6) leave to cool outside the form allowing hot steam to escape. when cooled wrap in plastic bag and consume whenever you feel like it.
- 7) Why not to add some rosebay flowers jam to it when serving?
This is a lovely bread that keeps well and you will really enjoy it even if you are anti nettle soup person.
